Rules and Fees
(As of October 1, 2009)
I. Hours of Operation:
The RCC Tennis Center is open seven day per week—year round—with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Days.
a. Daily Hours of Operation:
Monday-Friday 8 AM until 9 PM
Saturday 8 AM until 8 PM
Sunday Noon until 6 PM
b. The Tennis Center may also be open at other designated times for special events.
II. General Reservations: Outdoor and Indoor
a. All members and guests must register (sign in) at the front desk and be assigned a court before play.
b. RCC member, only, may reserve a court by calling 370-0050 up to three days in advance (Call Monday for as late as Thursday).
c. Indoor and outdoor courts cannot be reserved for the same time by the same member.
d. A reservation not utilized within 15 minutes of scheduled time will be cancelled and be made available for play to other members.
III. Guests: The fees for guests are as follows:
a. $10.00 for adults
b. $8.00 for juniors
c. During the outdoor season (April 1—September 30), guests may play for free on Fridays outdoors only.
IV. Seasonal Designations: RCC has three seasonal designations. They are as follows:
a. Outdoor Season: April 1—September 30 (weather permitting)
b. Summer Indoor Season: May 1—September 30
c. Winter Indoor Season: October 1—April 30
V. Outdoor Court Reservations
a. There is no charge for outdoor play. When making your reservation please specify if you would prefer a clay court (we offer 6 clay courts) or a hard court (we offer 2 hard courts).
VI. Indoor Court Reservations
a. Summer Indoor Season (May 1—September 30)
i. Contract Time costs $220, plus tax, per court for a 1 ½ hour period once per week. Guests are welcome, but must pay full price for the guest fee each time they play. Pre-paying guests is also an option.
ii. Only Richland members may buy/reserve court time.
iii. Indoor courts are also available for call-in time. Fees for call-in reservations during the Summer Indoor Season are $14 per hour for adults and $10 per hour for juniors (under 17 years old). The ball machine costs $10 per hour, which includes the court fee.
iv. When an indoor court is reserved, and the players do not show, they will be charged for the court unless the court is cancelled four hours before the scheduled time.
b. Winter Indoor Season (October 1—April 30)
i. Contract time costs $630 plus tax and includes 1 ½ hour time slot once per week October 1 through April 30.
ii. Only Richland members may buy/reserve court time.
iii. Priority for Contract time goes to the previous year’s contract holders until September 1, at which time the court and time will be offered to the membership if the contract has not been renewed.
iv. Indoor courts are also available for call-in time. Fees for call-in reservations during the Winter Indoor Season are $18 per hour for adults and $10 per hour for juniors (under 17 years old). The ball machine costs $10 per hour, which includes the court fee.
v. When an indoor court is reserved, and the players do not show, they will be charged for the court unless the court is cancelled four hours before the scheduled time.
vi. We also offer “Non Prime Time”, which allows you to buy contract time at a discounted rate at times that are not normally busy. The price for these times for the 30 weeks is $500 + tax ($546.25) for 1 ½ hours. This will save you $310 over the 30 weeks compared to the regular reservation rate. The guest fee stays the same. The following times are considered “Non Prime”:
• Monday – Friday 7:30 – 9 AM and Noon-3 PM
• Saturday 7:30 – 9 AM and 5-8 PM
• Sunday Noon – 6 PM
VII. Miscellaneous
a. Adults have priority over juniors (under 17 years old) for court usage weekdays after 4 PM and all day Saturday and Sunday.
b. There is a junior walk-on policy that permits juniors to walk on the courts if unused and unreserved and play for free. If a junior calls ahead and reserves a court, that junior will be charged a court fee. If a non-member junior or adult walks on with a junior member, the member will be charged the appropriate guest fee. A member must be on the court with their guests.
c. Pre-scheduled tournaments and events have priority over open play.
d. All players are requested to use the food and beverage services provided by the club. Outside food and beverages should not be brought on the premises.
e. Only water and sports drinks are allowed on the indoor courts with a lid or top. Coffee, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the indoor courts.
f. Smoking is prohibited anywhere inside the tennis center.
g. After using the ball machine, balls should be cleared from the court and returned to the ball hoppers or the ball machine by the member.
VIII. Tennis Attire—Indoors and Outdoors
a. Official Tennis Shoes Only**
b. Collared Shirts must be worn by men over the age of 17.
c. No Tank Tops or T-Shirts for men are permitted.
d. Women’s attire should be modest.
**Only official tennis shoes are permitted. Running, basketball or cross training shoes that have black rubber bottoms that mark the courts are not allowed.
ALL PLAYERS—MEMBERS AND GUESTS ARE EXPECTED TO CONDUCT THEMSELVES WITH COURTESY AND GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AT ALL TIMES.
IX. Lesson and Clinic Rates
a. One Hour Private Lesson: $55
b. Thirty Minute Private Lesson: $30
c. Semi-private lessons (2 People): $30 per person for an hour session
d. Adult clinics use the following price schedule:

i. Private and semi-private lessons must be scheduled with the pro of your choice directly. The front desk does not book lessons for the pros.
d. Adult clinics use the following price schedule:
e. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy for all private lessons. You will be billed the full amount of your scheduled lesson if 24 hours of notice is not given. Exceptions will be made for extenuating circumstances and illness.
